Jointworx Physical Therapy is committed to making our website usable by everyone, including people who use assistive technology such as screen readers, screen magnification, voice input, or keyboard-only navigation.
Conformance target
We aim to meet Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, the standard referenced by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Section 504 rule and commonly used as the benchmark in ADA Title III accessibility matters.
Measures we've taken
- A sitewide accessibility audit and remediation pass covering document structure, images, forms, color contrast, keyboard operation, and motion/animation behavior.
- Every page is reachable by keyboard alone, with a visible focus indicator and a skip-to-content link.
- Form fields carry real labels, and validation errors are announced in text, not conveyed by color alone.
- Animations and auto-scrolling content respect your operating system's "reduce motion" setting, and any content that auto-scrolls for more than a few seconds has a pause control.
- Core content remains readable if JavaScript doesn't load.
This is an ongoing commitment, not a one-time fix. We periodically re-test the site as content and features change.
Known limitations
- Live Google reviews widget (the "Live From Google" section on our homepage): this is a third-party embed we don't control the code of. If it doesn't load or behave well with your assistive technology, the same reviews are always readable directly on our Google Business Profile (opens in a new tab).
- New Patient Forms PDF: our downloadable intake paperwork is not yet a tagged, screen-reader-friendly PDF. If you need these forms in an accessible format, call or email us (below) and we'll get them to you in whatever format works, or fill them out with you over the phone.
