Erica Ryan

DPT, OCS

Erica is a native of St. Louis, Missouri. She enjoyed many activities growing up, including basketball, track, and horseback riding. She attended Washington University in St. Louis, earning a bachelor’s degree in French, having studied French since the age of 12 and spending her junior year in France. She was also a member of the crew team, which was one of the most meaningful opportunities to be on a cohesive team, wake up at 5am every day, and push herself to extreme athletic abilities. She earned a bachelor’s degree in physical therapy from the University of Missouri and a doctorate from the University of Montana.

She moved to Colorado nearly 20 years ago, initially for the skiing, and more recently is active in trail running, cycling, Nordic, and uphill ski adventures. Erica and her husband, Mark, still wake up at 5am every day to start the day with exercise and getting outdoors. She is on a quest to run a marathon in every state and is well over halfway to her goal.

Erica has worked in a variety of physical therapy settings and is most passionate about orthopedics, biomechanics of the lower extremity, especially in runners, and treating patients of all ages. She has training in trigger point dry needling, manual therapy, hip, knee, and ankle rehabilitation, and developmental/orthopedic therapy for pediatric patients. She is board-certified in orthopedics (OCS) from the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties. She brings compassion and connection to her interactions with patients and collaborates with them to establish and achieve their goals.
